The Professional Experience Course is central to the Teacher Education degree. It is the capstone course, drawing on cumulative learning across the coursework components of the degree and applying that in the school setting through practicum Placements. This course provides the opportunity for students to demonstrate they have met the requirements for the Teaching Performance Assessment through successful completion of the Placement and of an e-Portfolio.

The Professional Experience is the central focus of Teacher Education programs. The two (2) primary Professional Experiences Placements together with the ePortfolio constitute the capstone requirements for the completion of a teaching degree program.
