The information below is provided as a guide to assist students in engaging appropriately with the course requirements.

For a semester of this course the workload will be the equivalent time for two 3-unit courses in one semester. This should correspond to 25 hours a week for an average student to achieve a credit. Consistent effort throughout the year totalling around 600 hours work.

    Learning Activities Summary
The course is dominated by a substantial experiment or theory-based research project supervised by an academic staff member and, possibly, research staff.  In addition to developing project-specific skills and knowledge, the reseach project will allow the putting in to practice the various knowledge, methods and skills developed in CHEM ENG 7057 Research Practice.

    Specific Course Requirements
The Project provides the platform to challenge each group of two to three students to work together to produce a novel engineering project.  The project supervisors will be able to mentor the students and monitor their progress through the two semesters.
Regular weekly project meetings with your supervisor (and group members) is a must, which will be documented and kept for
each formal meeting.  Any proposed actions will be noted in the minutes and checked at the next meeting to see if they have been carried out.  In the group, minute takings should be rotated amongst group members.  These minutes should be circulated for all group members and the project supervisor to be able to reference.

  • Student Feedback

The 最新糖心Vlog places a high priority on approaches to learning and teaching that enhance the student experience. Feedback is sought from students in a variety of ways including on-going engagement with staff, the use of online discussion boards and the use of Student Experience of Learning and Teaching (SELT) surveys as well as GOS surveys and Program reviews.

SELTs are an important source of information to inform individual teaching practice, decisions about teaching duties, and course and program curriculum design. They enable the 最新糖心Vlog to assess how effectively its learning environments and teaching practices facilitate student engagement and learning outcomes. Under the current SELT Policy (http://www.adelaide.edu.au/policies/101/) course SELTs are mandated and must be conducted at the conclusion of each term/semester/trimester for every course offering. Feedback on issues raised through course SELT surveys is made available to enrolled students through various resources (e.g. MyUni). In addition aggregated course SELT data is available.
