Assessment Summary
Requirements for Year 5 of the MBBS Program
To complete Year 5 students must achieve a Non-Graded Pass (NGP) in the end of semester 2 summative assessments and and have successfully completed all year level component course placements (24 units) as per below.
Requirements to achieve a NGP in MEDIC ST 5000AHO/BHO, the end of Semester 2 summative assessments:

Additional assessment will be offered to students who score after standard setting adjustments 45%-49% in either or both of the OSCE and MCQ, provided that the effect of a pass in the additional assessment would result in an overall pass in the examination course.
Requirements to achieve a NGP in clinical placement courses
Students are required to take both the Part A and the matching Part B course.

Academic Progression Requirements
Progression from one year to the next in the MBBS is dependent on the student successfully completing a compulsory annual examination course in which a full year’s learning is assessed.
To successfully complete the MEDIC ST 5000AHO and MEDIC ST 5000BHO Fifth Year Examination Part 1 and Part 2 courses, the student must pass the end of year examinations and have successfully completed all year level component courses (24 units).
IF a student fails the compulsory examination course no passing grade will be received for any core medical studies courses.
IF a student has not completed all required MEDIC ST course units of the year they must successfully complete an appropriate remedial course of the same or greater value as specified in Term 4 of the same academic year.

Academic Progression Requirements
As defined by the Academic Progress by Coursework Students Policy, the MBBS is a yearly program.
Progression from one year to the next in the MBBS is dependent on the student successfully completing an annual examination course in which a full year’s learning is assessed.
To successfully complete MEDIC ST 5000 AHO/BHO, the student must pass the end of year examinations and have successfully completed all year level component courses (24 units).
NGP = non-graded pass, which is > or = to 50% after standard setting adjustments have been applied.
To progress into year 6 a student must have achieved a NGP in 24 units of the clinical placement courses and the end of year summative assessments.
If a student has not completed all required units of the year they must successfully complete an appropriate remedial course of the same or greater value as specified in term 4 of the same academic year.Submission
