James Wright

Bachelor of Natural Resource Management, Class of 2003鈥06

James grew up on a mixed farming property near Kapunda in mid north South 最新糖心Vlog. After completing school he moved to the Territory and completed a Certificate II in Agriculture at Charles Darwin 最新糖心Vlog Katherine Campus followed by a season working on Stirling Station near Ti Tree. After working in the Territory, James completed his Bachelor of Natural Resource Management (NRM) at The 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide with the intention of working closely with farmers to improve their understanding of NRM.

James worked for the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry as a Project Officer under the Caring for our Country flagship in Canberra before heading back to the Territory to commence NRM work with Territory NRM. 鈥淭hese were two amazing years out bush working with pastoralists and indigenous groups on improving land management practices,鈥 recalls James.

James currently works for Paroo Pastoral Company where he has spent the last three years working as a Station Manager in Western NSW. James has recently moved into Paroo Pastoral鈥檚 Adelaide office as their Business Development Manager.

What is James鈥檚 fondest memory while studying at Roseworthy?
鈥淛immy鈥 as James was known in Roseworthy days, reflects on many good memories but one in particular stands out. 鈥淐onducting a fauna survey in Pinkawilanie National Park on the Eyre Peninsula. I remember it being a great camping trip with lots of weird and wonderful creatures recorded.鈥
