Library has appeal to donors

More than 580 donors have already given to the 2008 Barr Smith Library Appeal since its launch in April, raising more than $85,000 to support the 最新糖心Vlog of Adelaide's Barr Smith Library. Now in its seventh year, the Appeal has provided a vital source of funds for the Library and its diverse collection of more than two million items. This support plays a critical role in ensuring that the 最新糖心Vlog's iconic library continues to provide up-to-date and relevant information for the 最新糖心Vlog's students and staff as well as the general public, who are welcome to join. "I'm proud to see that many members of the public, including many students who previously studied at the 最新糖心Vlog, appreciate the critical role that libraries have for both students and the wider society," said 最新糖心Vlog Librarian Mr Ray Choate. Mr Choate said funds from the 2008 Appeal will contribute to currency of the collections in new areas of knowledge and research, and the broader collection which is so important in a liberal education. "Donations are an increasingly important source of support for the Barr Smith Library. The annual appeal enables us to keep up with the breadth and depth of collections expected to provide students with first-class education."
